RELAX is the most calming class on the timetable and asks nothing of you. Stress Release is the one if the anxiety lives in your body as much as your head.

RESTORE settles a wired system, and most people sleep deeper that night than they have in weeks. Grounding Yin is the other one for sleep, slow shapes with bowls over the belly.

RESTORE is built for running on empty. Nervous System Reset adds fifteen minutes of fascial maneuvers first, so the body lets go before the sound settles it.

Our classes

Three doors into deep rest

Same aim, three ways in: pure sound, sound with slow yin yoga, or sound with hands-on fascia work. Part sound therapy, part meditation, part mindful movement. Start wherever feels easiest.

Sound Healing

The easiest door. You lie down under a blanket while crystal and Himalayan bowls are played around the room. The vibration slows the mind, settles the nervous system out of fight-or-flight, and takes you into the deep-rest state where the body repairs. Part sound bath, part guided meditation, no effort required.

Fascia + Sound

The most physical door. Hands-on fascial maneuvers, trained through Human Garage, release stress directly from the connective tissue where the body stores it, then a sound bath lets the nervous system properly settle. The most hands-on fascia release class we run, and you take the tools home with you.

Long-term healing

Once feels amazing. Regular changes things.

Your first session clears the surface. The week drains out, the mind quietens, and most people sleep deeper that night than they have in a long time. The next few reach what is underneath, and coming most weeks changes your baseline, because a nervous system braced for years does not unwind in an hour.

Questions

Everything people ask us

Which class should I start with?

If you want zero effort, start with Sound Healing: you lie down and the sound does everything. If your body feels tight, start with Yin + Sound. If stress lives in your neck, jaw and back and you want tools to take home, start with Fascia + Sound. There is no wrong door, they all lead to the same place.

What actually is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a guided sound meditation you lie down for, a form of sound therapy. Crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, chimes and voice are played around the room, and the sound and vibration carry you into a deeply relaxed state. You do not chant, stretch or sit cross-legged. You lie under a blanket with your eyes closed for an hour.

Do I need any experience?

None. Every class is fully guided, everything is provided, and complete beginners are the majority in most sessions. If you have never meditated in your life, this is still for you.

How often should I come?

Once will reset you for days. But nervous systems change through repetition. The people whose sleep, anxiety and pain change for good are the ones who come most weeks. That is why class packs and memberships exist.

How much does it cost?

Classes run from $35 to $69 depending on the class and length. Class packs are 5 for $215 or 10 for $400, valid on our 60-minute classes. Memberships are coming soon.

What should I wear and bring?

Something warm and comfortable, because your body temperature drops as you settle. Everything else is provided: mats, bolsters, blankets, eye pillows and props. Just bring yourself and a water bottle.

Can sound healing help anxiety, stress or sleep?

It is the most common reason people book. Sound healing works on the nervous system directly, shifting you out of the fight-or-flight state that drives anxiety, poor sleep and burnout. Most people notice their sleep first.

Where are you and is there parking?

Our Melbourne studio is at 5/1A Windsor Place, Windsor VIC 3181, just off Chapel Street, a short walk from Windsor Station and minutes from Prahran, South Yarra and St Kilda. Park on Chapel Street or a nearby side street and enter via 32 Chapel Street. Please never park on the property.

What time should I arrive?

Doors open 15 minutes before class and lock 5 minutes after we begin, so the room is not disturbed once the sound starts. Arriving 10 to 15 minutes early gives you time to settle.

Do you run private and workplace sessions?

Yes. Private sound baths for birthdays, hens parties and team days, workplace sound healing on site, and 1:1 sessions including energy field readings, frequency healing, Reiki and fascial maneuvers.

Inside the Sound of Soma studio in Windsor, Melbourne

Why Sound of Soma exists

Heal the cause, not just the symptoms

Sound of Soma is a sound healing studio in Melbourne, born out of lived experience. Our founder Ange healed his own undiagnosed chronic illness through sound after Western medicine ran out of answers, and built this studio so other people would not have to search as long as he did.

Most of what we carry, stress, anxiety, tension, pain, exhaustion, is not just in the head. It is stored in the body and the nervous system. Every class here is designed to create the conditions for your body to stop bracing and remember what calm actually feels like.
