Guided meditation · by Ange Monitto
For the days the anxiety is already here and you need it to come down now.

About this meditation
This is the one to reach for when it has already started. Chest tight, thoughts going fast, that feeling of being slightly outside yourself.
I am not going to ask you to challenge the thought or work out where it came from. Not in the middle of it. When you are in it, your thinking brain is the last thing that is going to help, so we go at it through the breath and the body instead, which is the door that is still open.
Longer exhales than inhales, because that is the part that signals safety. Attention put somewhere specific so it has somewhere to go. Sound underneath to give your system something steady to organise around.
Put it on, put your phone down, and let it take you down slowly. No part of this asks you to be good at meditating.
The sound
Every meditation has two layers: first my bowls in a chakra's note, then a solfeggio frequency played on crystal bowls. Here is what this one uses, and why.
It is where anxiety is felt, the knot just under the ribs, and where the meditation asks you to breathe.
It is the best known of the solfeggio frequencies, widely used for calm and for heart and body healing. It is the steadying, warm one, a good fit after the body scan.
Tibetan and felt bowl on E (161.8 Hz), with sung crystal bowls on E (323.2 Hz) and G (384.7 Hz). E and G together are a minor third.
A crystal bowl on 528 Hz an octave lower (263.7 Hz), plus a second crystal a fifth away at 395.8 Hz. That fifth lands on 396 Hz, so this one also carries the letting go of fear tone.
Back to E, with the struck E crystal (323.6 Hz).
Timings are for the version with the sound bath.
