Guided meditation · by Ange Monitto
For a body that has been bracing around pain. Breath, a hand on the place, and sound to make some room around it.

About this meditation
When something hurts, the muscles around it tighten to protect it. It makes sense, and that bracing can end up hurting as much as the pain itself. Over months or years it quietly becomes the way your body holds itself.
This meditation does not ask you to fight the pain or make it go away. We find it, get curious about it, and breathe toward it, so the area around it can soften even if the pain stays exactly where it is. You are just making a little more room around it.
Then we bring in sound. A hand resting on the place, a low hum and an open aah through your own voice, and the bowls moving to 174 Hz underneath. Your body is mostly water, and vibration travels beautifully through water.
Lie however eases it most, even curled up on your side. You can move at any point. Nothing here needs you to keep still.
The sound
Every meditation has two layers: first my bowls in a chakra's note, then a solfeggio frequency played on crystal bowls. Here is what this one uses, and why.
It is the base of the body, the centre of being grounded and held, and where pain that has settled in deep is worked with.
It is the lowest of the solfeggio frequencies, traditionally used for pain and for tension held deep in the body.
Tibetan and felt bowl on C (128.4 Hz), with sung crystal bowls on C (256.6 Hz) and E (323.2 Hz). C and E sound together as a major third.
A crystal bowl on 174 Hz played an octave higher at 347.5 Hz (the same note, brighter), with a second crystal a fifth away at 260.7 Hz.
Back to C, with the struck C crystal (256.8 Hz).
Timings are for the version with the sound bath.
