For when you know you are safe and your body has not caught up yet.

About this meditation
There is a particular kind of exhausting where nothing is wrong. The crisis passed. The job is fine. The person is gone. And your body is still braced like it is coming.
That is not you being dramatic or ungrateful. A nervous system does not update because you told it to. It updates through repetition, through being walked into the feeling of safety often enough that it stops being unfamiliar.
This one is slower than the others. We are not chasing a state, we are building a reference. Ground, breath, the body scanned from the feet up, and sound holding it the whole way. The point is that your system gets to feel settled and starts to remember the shape of it.
Come back to it. This is the one that works by being done more than once.
The sound
Every meditation has two layers: first my bowls in a chakra's note, then a solfeggio frequency played on crystal bowls. Here is what this one uses, and why.
It is the centre of safety, belonging and being held, which is exactly what this meditation works on.
It is traditionally linked with releasing fear: the guard the body has been holding up.
Tibetan and felt bowl on C (128.4 Hz), with sung crystal bowls on C (256.6 Hz) and E (323.2 Hz). C and E sound together as a major third.
A crystal bowl right on 395.8 Hz, with a second crystal a fifth away at 296.3 Hz.
Back to C, with the struck C crystal (256.8 Hz).
Timings are for the version with the sound bath.
What you get
The long one ends with a full sound bath. The short one is for the days you have not got half an hour.
